Anybody want to lend a helping hand?

I just uploaded my webpages. They looked beautiful on my son's computer but when I went to view them on my laptop, they were all messed up, lol! I lost some of my formatting, had to scroll sideways to see the whole page . . . so not what I wanted. I guess I have more tweaking to do.

Anybody out there know offhand - is there a code that will make the page fit no matter what screen size or resolution the user uses? Or are there standard measurements?

I may end up having to buy another book. Maybe I just should have let someone that knows what they're doing design it for me. Guess that's always an option.

The normal practice is to make the site fit a 800 x 600 resoluion, also try and preview the site in different browsers e.g Firefox and Internet Explorer so that you can make sure that the site does not do anything to silly. Alot of web developers will make sure it looks ok in Firefox first up, then as Internet Explorer is not as fussy about code it will normally be fine as well.

Try to wrap everything on a div, it might work, im not sure...

Thanks Ben. I re-worked the whole thing and it looks a lot better. I started out not knowing anything about HTML so I had to fumble my way through before I even found out what 'div' did, lol.

Becoming an internet entrepreneur

Whew ... This is harder than I thought it would be.  There are so many ways to make money online, I find myself getting sidetracked and chasing rabbits down paths that I wouldn't normally take.  Shortcuts for getting members to opt in, setting up an autoblog, viral links for traffic . . .  It's so easy to lose focus when you're bombarded with eye-catching, emotion grabbing headlines that promise to fulfill your deep desire to become a successful internet entrepreneur "Instantly" and just by following "these simple steps."  I've realized that I'm putting the cart before the horse.  I'm nowhere close to having my site up and running yet I'm already looking at ways to get traffic to it, lol.  "Whoa there, girlfriend!"  Reality check. What to do with all this information

Real world break to pop in and post. Since I started this blog a year or so ago, I've never stopped taking in information on how to make money on the internet. I've got so much information, I don't know where to start or even how to organize it. And everytime I get out here on the internet and do a little surfing, I come across even more information that I can't help but add to my already huge monstrosity of a mess! It's unbelievable how much you can learn, and for me, it's all been free! I see those guru books telling you how they'll show you how to make a quick buck, but I don't believe it's that easy. Especially for someone like you and me - your average Joe and Jane. There's no doubt that there is useful info out there.
