Learning never ends

In order to get a money making website online, you have to either know HTML or hire someone to create a site for you. Since I am attempting to do this on my own, the learning curve for me is very steep. I don't mind, though, because once this baby's up and running, I can say - I did it my way!

Went out and bought a book to learn how to create scripts. It's not as hard as you would imagine, even if you have no coding experience (which I do not, lol).

At the end of the day, you get out of it what you put into it.

PS. I keep saying this, but I really am going to move this blog to its own site. That way, I can start putting affiliate links into the text and maybe earn some pocket change from my rants.

Becoming an internet entrepreneur

Whew ... This is harder than I thought it would be.  There are so many ways to make money online, I find myself getting sidetracked and chasing rabbits down paths that I wouldn't normally take.  Shortcuts for getting members to opt in, setting up an autoblog, viral links for traffic . . .  It's so easy to lose focus when you're bombarded with eye-catching, emotion grabbing headlines that promise to fulfill your deep desire to become a successful internet entrepreneur "Instantly" and just by following "these simple steps."  I've realized that I'm putting the cart before the horse.  I'm nowhere close to having my site up and running yet I'm already looking at ways to get traffic to it, lol.  "Whoa there, girlfriend!"  Reality check. Do I want to make money?  Of course.  Would it be helpful to me if I could have that money flowing into my account next week?  Absolutely!  But more than that, I want to create something useful.  An

This blog is outta here :-)

Since having your blog on your own domain opens up a lot more opportunities for a blogger to make money, I figured it was high time I make the switch. I've been getting some great ideas from the Affiliate Project X ebook and I'm excited to put the info to use. There's a lot of work ahead of me as I'm going to have to re-vamp my website and re-establish my blog's page rank but I'm glad to have finally found a direction. Now if I can just manage to stay focused . . .
